Lady Macbeth

Lesley Bevan returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where she appeared in Othello. Other Chicago credits include: The Berlin Circle (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); Winesburg, Ohio (Steppenwolf Theatre Company/ About Face Theatre); Pulp, Wedding Play, The Terrible Girls, Undone (About Face Theatre); The American Plan (Roadworks Productions); Red Herring (Northlight Theatre); Love's Labor's Lost, A Doll's House (Next Theatre); Pentecost (Plan B Productions); and Dandelion Wine (Chicago Children's Theatre). Regional credits include: Winesburg, Ohio (Arden Theatre and Kansas City Repertory Theatre); Pride and Prejudice (Indiana Repertory Theatre); Hamlet, The Tempest, The Comedy of Errors, The Misanthrope, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Coriolanus, The Taming of the Shrew (Cincinnati Shakespeare Company); Measure for Measure, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Bedroom Farce (Wayside Theatre); and Twelfth Night (Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival). Lesley is a founding artist of the Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre Festival and performed abroad for two years with Boom Chicago, Amsterdam's foremost improvisational comedy show. She says that her favorite part of performing Shakespeare is that, "I love the connection I feel to actors centuries ago." A graduate of Hinsdale Central High School, Lesley attended Northwestern University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Performance Studies.
