Jo Cattell makes her Chicago Shakespeare Theater debut. Other Chicago credits include productions with: Route 66 Theatre, FWD Theatre Project, Collaboraction, Pride Films and Plays and the Irish Theatre of Chicago. She is resident director at terraNOVA Collective, Head of Theatricals for The Playground Theater and Artistic Associate at Pivot Arts. She is currently working with a dandypunk and Darin Basile on Heartcorps, which recently premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. She has been working with playwright Isaac Gomez on his plays, The Displaced (CORE Series at American Theater Company) and La Ruta (part of the Goodman Theatre’s Latino Festival 2016). She created TUMBAO with Dominizuelan, performed at Steppenwolf’s 1700 Theatre. Other US and UK credits include productions with: the BBC, Cirque du Soleil, Pentabus Theatre, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, Origin Theatre, Leviathan Lab and Culture Project. Ms. Cattell was awarded the 3Arts Award for her theater-making in 2016.
