John Reeger returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include: Richard III, Amadeus, Henry IV Parts 1 and 2 (at CST and on tour to the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon); King John, The Molière Comedies and Leontes in The Winter’s Tale. Recent Chicago credits include: The Iceman Cometh (Goodman Theatre); Heartbreak House (Writers Theatre); Oliver!, Singin’ in the Rain, The Sound of Music (Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook); Mary Poppins, The Music Man (Marriott Theatre); My Fair Lady (Paramount Theatre); and The Illusion (Court Theatre). Regional credits include Julian March in 42nd Street and Thérnardier in Les Misérables (Fulton Opera House). With his late collaborator and friend Julie Shannon, he co-authored the musical The Christmas Schooner, which will again be produced at the Mercury Theatre this season. He has received a Jeff Award, After Dark Award and an Illinois Artists Fellowship.
