Welcome to Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks—a summertime celebration of creativity, community, and connection.
Working together, each ensemble member has lent their unique artistic voice and vision to culminate in this collective expression of community. Using Shakespeare’s original text, music from different genres, and the talent that these artists bring to the process, the ensemble has collaborated to make something that feels true to them, today.
Built on partnerships forged over the last decade, our Community Practice programs, like Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks, deepen relationships with artists and community-based organizations across the city, and redefine the artistic process as inclusive, equitable—and, above all, participatory. We hope you love what we have all created, together.
