Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks Virtual Tour 2020

DISCOVER Ridge Park IN BEVERLY

Named for the tree-studded ridge that runs along the park’s western boundary, the one-time shoreline of glacial Lake Chicago totals over nine acres in the Beverly community. The fieldhouse features a gymnasium, auditorium, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and woodshop. Park-goers can participate in sports and cultural programs, ranging from cheerleading, aquatics, lacrosse, model car making, furniture building and repair, woodcraft, pottery, and ceramics. The park also hosts the Vanderpoel Art Gallery, featuring some 500 works by American painters and sculptors.
