Chicago Shakespeare is committed to making our productions accessible to all. $30 Under 30 was designed to offer specially discounted tickets to students, young professionals, and theaters lovers under age 30. Thousands of these tickets are allocated over the course of a season—but to be in the know, you’ve got to be on the list!
- This special discount is only available for those under age 30.
- $30 Under 30 members can buy up to two discounted tickets per show (bring someone over 30 as your guest, if you wish!).
- No membership fees. No annual commitments.
$30 Under 30 members will receive regular email updates listing shows that have these $30 tickets available. Every month, new inventory will be made available, so keep an eye out for the shows you most want to see! Have friends who love theater as much as you? Tell them to sign up and become a member, too.
There isn’t one! We are committed to making our productions accessible, so this initiative was designed to reduce cost barriers to attendance for patrons under 30 years old. You can purchase up to two $30 Under 30 tickets per production, which are subject to availability by performance. They are non-exchangeable, non-refundable, and non-transferable, and handling fees still apply ($6 per ticket).
$30 Under 30 seating is distributed equitably throughout the theater space, including within premium seating sections. Your performance seating will vary by production and availability. If you choose to select your own seat when buying online, you’ll be able to pick your exact seat location. Don’t worry, though—in our three intimate theaters, there’s not a bad seat in the house!
We allocate thousands of tickets across the entire season. Once you enter the $30 Under 30 promo code online, all performances with available $30 Under 30 tickets will appear in the drop-down list. Tickets to our most popular shows sell quickly, so buy early for the best chance to get your first choice.

Once you turn 30, you will stop receiving our $30 Under 30 ticket updates—however, we’ll still send you information on our current and upcoming shows, including special discounts to select performances.
