Center on Halsted provides a vast array of programs and services designed to advance Chicago’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) and allied community. Center on Halsted is a catalyst advocating for racial equity for all LGBTQ individuals, allies, and their intersectional identities.
Serve & Return Chicago provides kids in the greater Chicago area, regardless of income, race, gender or ability, an opportunity to learn the game of tennis while gaining values, building friendships and developing a desire for an active lifestyle. Their primary focus is to make a difference with children in Chicagoland by reaching out to those who may not otherwise have access to the game of tennis.
Girls in the Game provides sports, health and leadership programs in partnership with schools, parks and community centers in Chicago. Participants can try a variety of sports like soccer, lacrosse, yoga or volleyball in a friendly, non-competitive environment while also learning about important health and leadership topics like self-advocacy and positive body image.
On behalf of 500,000 LGBTQ+ Illinoisans, Equality Illinois and the Equality Illinois Institute brings the voices of LGBTQ+ people and allies to institutions of power across Illinois, striving to create a world that is healthy, just, and fully equal for all LGBTQ+ people.
XS Tennis strives to introduce as many underserved Chicago youth as possible to tennis, with the intention of guiding them down a pathway to college through the attainment of a college tennis scholarship and sustained excellence thereafter in whatever endeavor they pursue.
