We are committed to making your groups experience at the theater as easy and enjoyable as possible. If you have additional questions that are not addressed in the FAQ below, please contact the Box Office at 312.595.5600 during business hours, or send us a message through the Customer Service Portal any time day or night.

 

What is considered a group?

With as little as 10 people, you qualify for our group discount. Parties of 10+ not only save on tickets, but enjoy the benefit of no handling fees.

 

Can I increase the number of tickets after booking?

As long as tickets are still available, you can increase your booking anytime leading up to your visit to CST.

 

Can I decrease the number of tickets after booking?

You are able to decrease the number of group tickets booked by up to 10% no later than three weeks before your scheduled performance. Once full payment is received, refunds are not available.

 

How do I get my tickets?

Group tickets are conveniently held at the Box Office, and can be picked up starting an hour before your performance. We encourage group leaders to arrive early so they can distribute the tickets to their whole party. If you need other arrangements, contact the Box Office and we can find an option that works for you.

 

What accessibility services are available?

Chicago Shakespeare Theater strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all to experience our performances and programs. Our accessibility page details the services available for those with mobility needs, who are deaf or hard or hearing, have low vision, and more. Please provide our Box Office with your group’s needs so we can make sure your night at the theater is unforgettable.

 

When should we arrive for our performance?

To get the most out of your experience, allow plenty of time for travel on the day of your performance. We ask that group leaders arrive early to distribute the tickets. Make sure your full party arrives no later than 20 minutes before the performance, allowing time to find your seats, get a refreshment from our bar, and use the restrooms.

 

How do I get to the theater?

Chicago Shakespeare Theater is conveniently located on Navy Pier. Whether traveling by car or public transportation, use the resources found on our Parking & Directions page to plan your route. If your group members are driving and arriving separately, make sure everyone knows that all Chicago Shakespeare Theater patrons are guaranteed discounted parking on Navy Pier. Even if signs say the garages are full, tell security you are “here for Shakespeare” and they will direct you to our dedicated parking entrance. With validation, the discounted rate is $21 for up to 6 hours.

 

What if I arrive by bus?

The closest location for bus drop off and pick up is Entrance 1, but if your group is exploring or dining on Navy Pier, you may wish to arrange for different pick up and drop off locations (see map). Bus parking and tarrying is not allowed on Navy Pier—see bus parking locations nearby.

 

Where can I dine before the show?

Navy Pier offers a wide variety of dining options. CST patrons can save 20% at our restaurant partners around Navy Pier, including Lírica, Offshore Rooftop, Chef Art Smith’s REUNION, Bar Sol, Harry Caray’s Tavern, and Margaritaville. Explore a full list of Navy Pier dining options.
