John Reeger (Lord Stanley, Archbishop of York) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include Amadeus, Henry IV Parts 1 and 2 (at CST and on tour to the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon), King John, The Molière Comedies and The Winter’s Tale. Other Chicago credits include: 30 productions at Court Theatre, including The Wild Duck, James Joyce’s The Dead, Hamlet and The Little Foxes; 25 productions at Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre, including Curtains, Sherlock’s Last Case, I Hate Hamlet and My Fair Lady; and appearances at the Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Northlight Theatre, Writers’ Theatre, Marriott Theatre, First Folio Theatre and Apple Tree Theatre. Regional credits include Julian Marsh in 42nd Street and Thènardier in Les Misèrables at Fulton Opera House. He co-authored the musical The Christmas Schooner with Julie Shannon and has received a Joseph Jefferson Award, an After Dark Award and a 2008 Illinois Artist Fellowship.
