Etta Murfitt is the associate director of Matthew Bourne's company New Adventures. She has performed in most of Bourne’s productions, including Nutcracker, Cinderella, Car Man and Edward Scissorhands. Choreography credits include: A Chorus of Disapproval directed by Trevor Nunn (Harold Pinter Theatre); Rufus Norris’s Sleeping Beauty (Birmingham Repertory Theatre); Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead directed by Sir Trevor Nunn (Chichester Festival Theatre and Theatre Royal Haymarket); Le Nozze di Figaro directed by Martin Lloyd-Evans (Holland Park Opera); The Way of the World directed by Selina Cadell (Wilton’s Music Hall); and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Dawn French and directed by Matthew Francis (Albery Theatre). Kneehigh credits include: Steptoe & Son, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, The Wild Bride and Midnight’s Pumpkin. Ms. Murfitt recently performed as The Woman in The Wild Bride for Kneehigh in Berkeley and New York. She is delighted to be performing once again with Kneehigh.
