Destined to break the traditional mold of theater in Mexico, Foro Shakespeare was born in a different space—a bookstore specializing in performing arts that later became an independent theater space that continues today despite time and challenges.
Founded by Hector Fuentes, Foro Shakespeare is a multimodal space with the ability to change configuration, allowing for a unique theatrical experience where independent theater companies find a home.
In 2003, Itari Marta and Bruno Bichir were responsible for providing Foro with the energy and innovation needed to become in an independent and sustainable space, creating a completely new theater experience.
Foro Shakespeare goes beyond four walls—more than a space, it is a concept born on stage connecting with different audiences and communites.
