Beauty from Within

The townspeople who live in Belle's town think she's odd because her nose is always in a book. When people meet the Beast, they think he's scary because of the way he looks. But when Belle and the Beast get to know one another, they reveal who they are on the inside.

Sometimes, we "judge a book by its cover." This means that we judge something by what's on the outside before we really know what is on the inside. Do you think that's a good idea? Why or why not?

Make a list of some qualities about you that other people would not know by looking at you. Are you a talented artist? Do you keep your room clean? Are you a math whiz? Do you make your family laugh? Do you help others with homework?

Look at your list and see what beauty you have on the inside! As you meet new people in your life, keep in mind that everyone has hidden qualities and talents just like you!
