Maggie Portman (Silly Girl) makes her Chicago Shakespeare Theater debut. Other Chicago credits include: Eva Peron in Evita, Rumpleteazer/Demeter in Cats (Theo Ubique Theatre); Squeaky Fromme in Assassins, Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime (Porchlight Music Theatre); and Martha in The Secret Garden (Light Opera Works). Regional credits include: Chrissy in Hair (Paramount Theatre); and the Non-Equity National Tour of Hello Dolly (Main Stage Productions). She received two Non-Equity Chicago Jeff Awards in 2009 and 2010 for principal roles in a musical for Evita and Chess. Ms. Portman is the co-founder and managing director since 2005 of Li'l Buds Theatre Company, a Chicago nonprofit theater for all ages.
