Tahirah Whittington makes her Chicago Shakespeare Theater debut. Other Chicago credits include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Camelot (cellist - Drury Lane Theatre); Hero, October Sky and Spring Awakening (cellist - Marriott Theatre). Broadway credits include Romeo and Juliet, which was also featured in movie theaters nationwide. Television credits include Empire (FOX). Ms. Whittington received her master's degree in cello performance from The Juilliard School and her bachelor's degree at the New England Conservatory. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Northwestern University.
