At long last, it’s time to come together at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Here are answers to some questions you may have about our reopening and our 2021/22 Season, including our commitment to prioritizing health and safety as you return to the Theater.

WHAT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS THIS YEAR?

Subscribers can choose to secure their preferred package for another season, or enjoy the freedom of ultimate flexibility with a new “Bard Card”—a pack of flexible tickets to use however you wish! 

IF I HAVE MONEY ON ACCOUNT, CAN I USE THAT TOWARDS MY SUBSCRIPTION?

Absolutely! The invitation to renew your subscription will arrive in the mail soon. If you have a credit on account from an canceled production, we have indicated how to use the credit when renewing online, by mail, or by phone.

WILL MY SEATS BE THE SAME FOR EACH SHOW?

Performances will be taking place in the Courtyard Theater, The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, and our theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare. We intend to be able to offer Subscribers your preferred seat locations in all three theaters. If schedule changes or evolving guidance from the City, State, and CDC require adjustments to be made, we’ll share details with you when tickets are sent out.

WHAT COVID PREVENTION MEASURES ARE YOU TAKING AT THE THEATER?

The health and safety of our audiences, artists, and theater staff is our foremost priority. Our plans are being shaped by guidance from state and local health authorities, as well as industry-specific recommendations from the Harvard School of Public Health. We are taking every aspect of your theater-going experience into consideration—from your arrival into our lobby with revised box office and ticketing procedures, to theater seating and intermission planning. WHEN WILL MY TICKETS ARRIVE?

You’ll receive your digital ticket at least three weeks before each production begins. We’ll be sharing updates throughout the season by email, so if you aren’t currently receiving messages from us, please share your preferred email address with us through our Customer Service Portal. We’ll make sure that you stay in the know.

WILL I BE ABLE TO PARK ON NAVY PIER?

Chicago Shakespeare Theater patrons continue to enjoy guaranteed discounted parking in Navy Pier garages, accessed through the Theater’s dedicated parking entrance which opens two hours prior to each performance. With validation in our Lobby, the discounted rate is $21 for up to six hours. Learn more ►
