Mark L. Montgomery returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include: Twelfth Night, Troilus and Cressida, Rose Rage: Henry VI Parts 1, 2, and 3 (CST and The Duke Theatre on 42nd St., New York City, Jeff Award-Best Ensemble), As You Like It, King Lear, The School for Scandal, Antony and Cleopatra, Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, Much Ado About Nothing, The Comedy of Errors, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Richard III. Other Chicago credits include: Randall Bartleman in Fascination (About Face Theatre); McCarthy in The Time of Your Life (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Apple Tree Theatre); and In the Belly of the Beast: Letters from Prison (After Dark Award, The Journeymen Theater Company). New York credits include: The Seagull (Broadway); Mamma Mia! (Broadway); Macbeth (The Public Theater); The Runner Stumbles (TACT); and The Madras House (Mint Theater Company). Regional credits include Cassius in Julius Caesar (American Repertory Company, French Tour 2009-2010). Television credits include Law and Order and Guiding Light. He attended Columbia College and the British American Drama Academy summer program at Oxford in England. Mark graduated from Highland Park High School, where he recalls reading Julius Caesar as a freshman. "I was intimidated at first but learned to understand and love Shakespeare as I read more."
