Chicago Shakespeare Slam: Final Bout

As each team takes the stage, the students introduce their school name followed by our shared rallying cry, “…we OWN this space!” And they do. For those five minutes of performing that stage becomes theirs. Shakespeare’s language becomes theirs. As a student owns Shakespeare’s words—and shares them—they discover their voice and build self-confidence in the process.
