No purchase, donation, OR PLEDGE necessary to enter or win; a purchase, donation, or pledge will not increase your chances of winning.
ELIGIBILITY: You must be a legal U.S. resident 21 years of age or older physically residing in the 50 United States (includes DC) to enter or win. Residents of New York or Florida are not eligible to enter or win. Employees of Chicago Shakespeare Theater (“CST”) or its affiliates, and the immediate family (parent, spouse, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild) and household members of all such employees, are NOT eligible. Promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void in New York, Florida, and where prohibited or restricted by law.
HOW TO ENTER: There are two ways to enter the sweepstakes. 1) Entry via donation/pledge: Participants who make a donation to CST either on-line or by telephone will be automatically entered into the sweepstakes. To make a donation on-line, visit chicagoshakes.com/sixbroadway. To make a donation by telephone, please call 312‑667‑4952. 2) Entry without donation/pledge: To enter into the sweepstakes without making a donation/pledge, visit chicagoshakes.com/sixbroadwayalternateentry to enter without a donation. Entry Weighting: CST uses a system so that entries are treated equally. Each free entry is automatically assigned 6 entries (equivalent to the donation entries you get when you donate $150). Regardless of how you enter, including by Donation, the maximum number of entries for any one person is restricted to 6 entries per person per campaign. Entries must be submitted between 12:00 p.m. Central Time (CT) on January 17, 2020 and 11:59 p.m. CT on January 26, 2020. See below for information on Entry Periods. CST is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, corrupted, or misdirected entries.
ENTRY PERIODS, ENTRY DEADLINES, AND WINNER SELECTION TIMES FOR PRIZES: Entry Period is between 12:00 p.m. Central Time (CT) on January 17, 2020 and 11:59 p.m. CT on January 26, 2020. One (1) winner will be selected from all eligible entries by Sponsor or an authorized representative of Sponsor on approximately January 27, 2020.
PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: One (1) winner will be selected to receive a prize package for two (2) to see SIX on Broadway for opening night, March 12, 2020. The prize package includes the following: a) Round trip coach air transportation for two (2) people from a major airport near winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to a major airport near New York City, NY; b) Single-room, double occupancy hotel accommodations for two days, one night, at Hyatt Centric Times Square, in New York City, NY; c) Two (2) tickets to SIX on Broadway for Opening Night (March 12, 2020), along with two (2) passes to SIX Opening Night Cast Party. Total ARV $1,500. Actual value may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. If winner resides within 75 miles of New York City, winner may receive compensation for car travel to destination instead of airfare, at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. All prizes will be awarded, provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received. Taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed except in CST’s sole discretion. CST reserves the right to substitute prizes of the same approximate retail value. For prizes $600 or more in value, winner’s social security number or taxpayer identification number will be required in order to issue a Form 1099-MISC showing prize ARV as income to winner. Prize consists only of items specifically listed as part of the prize.
Prize travel ARV may vary depending on city/day/date/time of departure and if the actual value of prize awarded is less than the ARV stated above, winner will not be entitled to receive any cash or other compensation for such difference between the actual value and the ARV. All terms and conditions of vouchers apply. Winner and guest must depart from the same airport and must be on the same itinerary. Flights are subject to availability and reservations are required. Airline tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable and are not valid for frequent flyer miles. All airline tickets are subject to flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes. Lost, stolen or damaged airline tickets, travel vouchers or certificates will not be replaced or exchanged. Sponsor will not be responsible for any flight cancellations, delays or diversions.
Prize winner and guest are solely responsible for any costs or expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified above as part of prize description, including without limitation, lodging, ground transportation, additional air transportation and accommodations, meals, tips, gratuities, beverages, sightseeing, souvenirs, excursions, baggage fees, incidentals and personal items, including any taxes associated with travel. No costs, fees or expenses are included as part of the prize unless specifically listed herein. Winners and guests are solely responsible for all required travel documents and/or identification (e.g., a valid passport). Winner and guest are solely responsible for obtaining any travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance) at their option and hereby acknowledge that Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. Winner may be required to present a valid credit card at hotel check-in for incidentals.
Winner and guest must be available to travel and redeem prize for March 12, 2020 date, or the prize may be forfeited and an alternative winner may be selected. The prizes are not transferable, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. The prizes are not redeemable for cash, and it may not be substituted for another prize, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, or as provided in these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for the prize. Any unused prize elements will be forfeited. Sponsor is not responsible if the event is postponed or cancelled for any reason, in whole or in part, or if a winner cannot be confirmed in sufficient time to attend the event. In such event, winner may receive a substitute prize in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
SELECTION OF THE WINNERS: Prizes will be awarded in random drawings from among all eligible entries received, as detailed in the table above. Drawings will be conducted in accordance with these Official Rules. CST’s decisions on all matters related to the sweepstakes are binding and final. Winners will be notified by e-mail at the e-mail address provided on or about January 27, 2020, and will be required to respond within three business days, or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be chosen. Affidavit of eligibility, prize acceptance form, tax information, publicity release, and/or mutually acceptable liability releases may be required and, if so, must be returned within reasonable specified time or prize will be forfeited and alternate winner chosen. Guest of winner must also sign and return any required documentation, including but not limited to a liability and publicity release, prior to travel. If guest is a minor, then winner must be the parent or legal guardian of guest, and winner (as parent or legal guardian) must sign and return release documents on behalf of guest.
PUBLICITY RELEASE: Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s consent that his or her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical data may be used for advertising and promotional purposes without limitation and without additional notice, compensation, or consent.
RELEASE: By entering, participant agrees to accept and abide by the rules of this sweepstakes and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this sweepstakes, rule interpretation, or award of prize shall be submitted to CST, whose decision shall be binding and final. By participating, participant agrees to release and hold harmless CST and its affiliates and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives as well as any person or entity that donates to CST any prize awarded pursuant to this sweepstakes from any injury, loss or damage to person, including death, or property due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance or use/misuse of a prize, participation in any sweepstakes-related activity, or participation in the sweepstakes.
CST is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of these Official Rules, administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of prizes, including erroneous appearance of qualification for a prize, and under no circumstances will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. If for any reason CST is prevented from continuing with this sweepstakes, or the integrity and/or feasibility of the sweepstakes is severely undermined by any event including but not limited to fire, flood, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, or any federal, state or local government law, order or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, CST shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the sweepstakes without further obligation. If CST in its discretion elects to so abbreviate the sweepstakes, CST reserves the right, but not the obligation, to award the prize from among all eligible entries received to date. All entries are the property of CST and are not returnable.
This promotion is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall be construed and evaluated only according to United States law. Do not enter this promotion if you are not located in the United States. The use of any automated devices in connection with this promotion is prohibited. CST assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections, whether human, technical or otherwise in nature. CST reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this promotion should virus, bugs or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of this promotion. CST is not responsible for any injury or damage to any person’s computer or related equipment resulting from or relating to participation in this promotion or downloading any material related to this promotion. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. In the event of a dispute, the potential winner may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized holder of the identified e-mail account.
DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW: Except where prohibited, each participant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by state or federal courts situated in Chicago, IL, (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including without limitation, lost profits, may be awarded (collectively, “Special Damages”), and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased. Illinois law, without reference to choice of law rules, governs the sweepstakes and all aspects related thereto.
