MELISSA TORCHIA (Costume Designer) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where she previously served as the assistant costume designer for Romeo and Juliet. Other Chicago credits include: Samuel J & K (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); Peter Pan (Lookingglass Theatre Company); Jitney and Mountaintop (Court Theatre); Gypsy, Aida, Sugar (Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook); Iron Stag King, The Crownless King, and The Magnificents (The House Theatre of Chicago); My Fair Lady, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Hair (Paramount Theatre); The Importance of Being Earnest (Jeff Award nomination, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company); Grease (American Theater Company); Abigail’s Party, Butcher of Baraboo (A Red Orchid Theatre); and Not Wanted on the Voyage (American Musical Theatre Project). Regional credits include: The Verona Project (California Shakespeare Theater), among others. Melissa received a BFA in theatre from the University of Arizona and an MFA in costume design from Northwestern University.
