JQ has written, directed, composed, and performed in hip hop musicals for over 20 years. Along with his brother GQ, he co-created a two-man version of The Two Gentlemen of Verona, called Dress the Part, which currently tours universities and arts festivals around the world. With Q Brothers Collective, he has co-created several other adaptations, including LIZ! (based on Lysistrata), Rome Sweet Rome (based on Julius Caesar), and Long Way Home (based on Homer’s Odyssey – a collaboration with Chicago Children’s Choir). JQ and GQ invented a party game called Portmantotallyawesome, inspired by the Ghost of Christmas Present in this show.
