Mr. Bennett’s previous work with Shakespeare’s Globe includes The Merchant of Venice. Credits as director include: Measure for Measure (Pacific Theatre); King Lear, Hamlet, Macbeth (The Honest Fishmongers); Private Lives, The Priory (United Players); Treasure Island, Fallout (Studio 58); Bassett, Dido Queen of Carthage, The Loudest Silence, 7 Stories (Templeton Secondary School); The Woman in Black and Cold Comfort (Little Mountain Studios). Credits as assistant director include: The Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare’s Globe); King John, The Three Musketeers (Stratford Festival); Richard III, Much Ado About Nothing (Bard on the Beach); NiX (Vancouver’s Cultural Olympiad); Disgraced (Arts Club Theatre Company). Awards include: Bluma Appel Mentorship Award for Directing (Shakespeare’s Globe Centre Canada); Jean Gascon Directing Award (Stratford Festival); and the Earl Klien Memorial Scholarship (Langara College). Upcoming work as director includes Troilus and Cressida (Studio 58). Mr. Bennett trained in Canada at Studio 58 Langara College and the Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction at the Stratford Festival.
