Understudy
ALAN BALL makes his Chicago Shakespeare Theater debut. Chicago credits include As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew (First Folio Theatre); Saint Joan (ShawChicago Theater Company); Troilus and Cressida (The Shakespeare Project of Chicago); The New Yorkers (Marriott Theatre); and Comfortable Shoes (Royal George Theatre). National tour credits include: Barnum, Tour de Force (US); Sunset Boulevard (Canada); The Threepenny Opera, and Carnival (Greece). Regional work includes productions with: Syracuse Stage, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Artists’ Ensemble Theater, and STAGES St. Louis. For the last seven years, Mr. Ball has been an artistic associate of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival, appearing in twenty-one productions. Film and television credits include Boricua and Chicago Fire (NBC). Mr. Ball has a BA in theatre from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MFA in acting from Wayne State University, and a certificate for completing the joint study abroad program at the Moscow Art Theatre School.
