Scott Silven's

The Journey

January 12 - 24, 2021

A WorldStage Production from the UK
created and performed by Scott Silven

What to Expect

This immersive audience experience is streamed through a custom web interface with audience members appearing on camera for a large portion of the show. The beautiful cinematic imagery and high-definition immersive sound are specially designed to be enjoyed by a single viewer per screen.

You will receive prompts via email in advance of the production. These prompts and your responses will help inform the evening’s events. Be on the lookout for those prompts at the email address you provide.

To take part in The Journey, you will need…

  • A desktop or laptop computer with a minimum 10” screen (mobile devices are not supported)
  • A stable internet connection
  • A working webcam (built-in or external)
  • A pair of headphones with built-in microphone
  • A well-lit space
  • Two pieces of paper
  • A pen (we recommend a thick black sharpie)
  • An object of meaning (this could be a family heirloom, a piece of jewelry, or an oddity you have acquired)

How many tickets do I need to get?
Plan on attending the show with one person per screen. For example, if two individuals in your household want to participate in the same evening, please purchase two tickets and enjoy on separate devices, each with your own headphones.

Will I see my friends and family in the show if we attend the same one?
In The Journey, there will be a few opportunities to see the entire virtual audience immersed in the digital space with Silven. If you have friends or family whom you have not been able to see in a while, consider coordinating with them to attend The Journey together. While you won’t be able to talk with one another, you’ll be connected through interactions with Silven and moments when the whole audience is visible in the virtual space.

What is the level of participation in this show?
Most audience members will be called on by Silven to participate in the evening’s mesmerizing events. This might include talking about your special object or answering one of Silven’s questions. It is recommended that each participant be comfortable talking to Silven for a few seconds, but don’t be nervous—he’s very friendly.

When will I receive login details for my performance?
The day before your show, we will send your unique link to access the performance. A reminder email will also be sent a few hours before the event begins. Both of these communications will go to the email address used for your ticket purchase, and will come from We recommend that you add this to your contacts to help make sure these communications do not go to your spam folder.

What browser should I use?
The Journey is best viewed on a desktop or laptop computer as mobile phones are not supported. We recommend using a wired ethernet connection or sitting as close to your wireless router as possible. Recommended browsers are below (please note, Internet Explorer is not supported):

  • Safari (v13+)
  • Chrome (v72+)
  • Microsoft Edge (v79+)
  • Firefox (v65+)

What is this advance content I keep hearing about?
Your ticket order confirmation will include links to discover special advance content from Scott Silven. We encourage you to engage with this content prior to the show to be prepared for The Journey. It should only take about 20 minutes. If you are unable to watch the pre-event footage, don’t worry. You will still be able to enjoy the event.

What happens if I arrive late to the show?
The virtual lobby will open 30 minutes in advance of the performance. Please check in as early as possible to ensure you are set-up correctly. If you miss the start of the performance, there is only one opportunity for late admission—approximately 7 minutes after the start of the show.

Who should I contact if I experience any issues prior or during the show?
Our front of house staff is waiting for you in the virtual lobby starting 30 minutes before each performance. If you are unable to enter by clicking the access link sent to you via email, please send a message to, and our staff will connect with you directly. If your screen happens to freeze during the show, you can refresh your browser and re-enter the room.
