GQ (Creator/Director/Scrooge) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include: co-creating, co-directing, and starring in the original productions of Othello: The Remix (at CST and on tour to Westside Theatre off Broadway (The New York Times Critics’ Pick) and The Globe Theatre, London), Q Brothers Christmas Carol, and Funk It Up About Nothin'. G also co-created, co-directed, and starred in the original production of Q Gents (Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Illinois Shakespeare Festival). Off-Broadway credits include The Bomb-itty of Errors (co-wrote, starred). Film credits include: Drumline; Taxi; I Think I Love My Wife; What’s the Worst That Could Happen (with John Leguizamo); and Werner Herzog’s Rescue Dawn. He wrote, directed, and starred in the film Just Another Story (Showtime, Tribeca Film Fest). Television credits include: Scratch and Burn (MTV), which he wrote and in which he starred; Chicago PD (NBC); Boston Public (Fox); Numbers (CBS); Johnny Zero (Fox); and John Herzfeld’s pilot, S.I.S (Sony). GQ is a member of the Chicago-based comedic hip hop group The Rap Pack (formally known as The Retar Crew; YouTube). Together with his brother JQ, he recorded The Feel Good Album of the Year. He has recently been combining his passion for human rights, justice reform, and hip hop in a series of musical projects with Collaboraction in Chicago and The Culture Project in NYC. Originally from Chicago, he received a BFA from the ​NYU Tisch School of the Arts Department of Drama Experimental Theatre Wing. @GQtheman
