Caroline O'Connor makes her Chicago Shakespeare Theater debut after recently performing as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Chatelet Theatre, Paris). Broadway credits include Velma Kelly in Chicago. Her London West End credits include: Hildy Esterhazy in On the Town, Mabel Normand in Mack and Mabel (Olivier nomination), Romance, Romance, Street Scene, Hot Stuff, Matador, Budgie, The Rink, Cabaret, Me and My Girl, Show Boat (RSC), Damn Yankees, Baby, Into the Woods and A Chorus Line. Her Australian credits include: Chicago, West Side Story, Man of La Mancha, Funny Girl, Mack and Mabel, Piaf and the world premiere of End of the Rainbow. Ms. O’Connor has had two plays written specifically for her, Bombshells by Joanna Murray-Smith (Olivier nomination, Edinburgh Fringe First Award) and Scarlett O’Hara at the Crimson Parrot by David Williamson. Her concert appearances include: The Royal Albert Hall (London), Birdland (New York) and the Sydney Opera House.  Her film credits include: Nini Legs in the Air in Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge, Ethel Merman in De-Lovely and Georgia in Surviving Georgia.  Ms. O’Connor’s solo recordings include: What I Did for Love, Stage to Screen, A Tribute to Piaf and A Tribute to Garland. www.carolineoconnor.com
