Important Information about Freeze!

Unfortunately, performance artist Nick Steur, whose presentation of Freeze! was scheduled to play January 14–25, 2015 is unable to join us as part of the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival. All patrons will be refunded the price of their tickets. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Chicago Shakespeare Theater and the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival look forward to sharing Nick’s unique work with Chicago audiences at another time.

There are still many opportunities for you to take part in the festival this year:

• Tickets still remain for Blind Summit’s The Table, playing in the theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare, January 14–25. Come meet Moses—a cantankerous puppet with a cardboard head immersed in an existential crisis on a table. Drawing on the Japanese Bunraku style, London-based Blind Summit presents epic puppetry that is hilarious, beautiful and occasionally profound. This widely acclaimed work returns after playing a sold-out engagement last fall.

• Or explore the wide variety of festival productions offered at other venues.
