Celebrate the people and places that have made Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks our city’s most expansive arts-in-communities initiative!

Originally airing on August 28, 2020 as part of the Chicago Park District’s “Stars in Your Backyard” series, this program includes illuminating interviews with artists, community leaders, and partner organizations, revisits memorable moments from past years’ tour productions, and highlights this summer’s inventive virtual experience.

The 30-minute program is hosted by Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks actor and community organizer Andrea San Miguel and features scenes from past summers, including: The Taming of the Shrew (2012), The Comedy of Errors (2013), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2014), Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits (2015), Twelfth Night (2016), Romeo and Juliet (2017), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2018), and The Comedy of Errors (2019).
