Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks Virtual Tour 2020

DISCOVER West Pullman Park IN WEST PULLMAN

Summer 2020 would have marked Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks’ first-ever performance in West Pullman Park. This 16-acre park in the heart of Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood offers the Park Kids after school program, seasonal sports, Therapeutic Recreation, arts & crafts, senior club, and Track E Break Camps. It also has a unique green feature: a natural savanna. The park is one of Chicago’s few remaining native landscapes, with oak, hickory, and cherry trees covering an ancient river bank.

The mission of Emma Mae’s SunRays Studios is to produce, through dance and other related art forms, socially well-rounded performers. Students develop a life-long appreciation for all aspects of the arts, plus characteristics that will positively define them on and off the stage, including a positive sense of self-awareness, self-motivation, self-respect, and respect for others. Emma Mae’s SunRays Studios not only prepares students for immediate achievements, but for future possibilities, including college scholarships, Broadway performances, and professional dance opportunities around the world.
