Mark David Kaplan returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include Grandpa Joe/Phineous Trout in Willy Wonka, Albert Sopperstein in How Can You Run with A Shell on Your Back? and the Tinman in The Wizard of Oz. Other Chicago credits include: Ragtime, Curtains (Drury Lane Oakbrook); Forbidden Broadway Dances with the Stars (Jeff Award, Royal George); The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Drury Lane Water Tower Place); A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Noble Fool Theatricals); Animal Crackers, Into the Woods, The Cocoanuts (Skylight Opera Theatre); You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Beauty and the Beast (The Marriott Theatre); and 42nd Street (Theatre at the Center). Regional credits include Amadeus and Enter the Guardsman (Indiana Repertory Theatre). Off Broadway credits include both directing and acting in the US and international productions of Forbidden Broadway. National touring credits include I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and three years with The Lion King.
