Kholby Wardell makes his Chicago debut at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Mr. Wardell has played the role of Noel in every production of Ride the Cyclone before joining the American cast in Chicago. Notable credits include Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Hal in Loot, Freddy in My Fair Lady (Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre); Lance in 500 Words (Green Thumb Theatre for Young Adults) and Ensemble in Brilliant! The Blinding Enlightenment of Nicola Tesla (Electric Company Theatre and The Belfry Theatre). He recently performed in the Musical Works in Concert festival in Toronto, a new musical festival. Mr. Wardell hails from small-town British Columbia, Canada, and has made his home in Toronto. After Ride the Cyclone, he will be returning to Toronto, where—with creative partner Rielle Braid— he will write, rehearse, stage, co-direct and music-direct his Christmas show, Terrible Adults: Rielle and Kholby and the Lost Spirit of Christmas, which will also tour to Whitehorse and Vancouver.
