PALMER JANKENS (Sound Designer) is the sound supervisor at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where he has worked on more than sixty productions and designed sound for Ride the Cyclone and A Q Brothers’ Christmas Carol (2013-15). Other Chicago design credits include: Mary Poppins, 42nd St. (Paramount Theatre Aurora); Days Like Today (Writers Theatre); Juno (TimeLine Theatre Company); Annie Get Your Gun and Oliver! (Musical Theater Works). Associate and assistant design Chicago credits include: Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas (Broadway Playhouse); Pullman Porter Blues (Goodman Theatre); Sunset Boulevard, Singin’ in The Rain (Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook); Eastland (Lookingglass Theatre Company); and Freud’s Last Session (Mercury Theater Chicago). Regional credits include productions with: Utah Shakespeare Festival, South Coast Repertory, Dallas Theater Center, and Hope Summer Repertory Theatre. Mr. Jankens has also worked as a sound engineer at Black Ensemble Theater, Blue Man Group, and Million Dollar Quartet (Apollo Theater) in Chicago, as well as engineering pops concerts for dozens of symphonies around North America and theatrical productions across the globe.
