Summer with Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks
Featured as the centerpiece of Mayor Emanuel’s Night Out in the Parks initiative, Shakespeare’s madcap farce, The Comedy of Errors, is currently traveling to 18 of Chicago’s parks on the north, west and south sides of the city. Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks is once again being welcomed into the vibrant communities of Chicago by local artists who open each performance, as well as the thousands of picnickers, neighbors, families and Bard-enthusiasts. The Mayor has joined us twice—bringing his family to Eckhart Park and a group of CPS high school students to Humboldt Park. With free performances running through August 25, there is still time to take part in Chicago’s new summertime tradition.
