Performance Schedule Update
As You Like It
We are already working on setting a new performance schedule. There is nothing you need to do right now, as finalizing these details will take some time. We will continue to hold your place, and our Box Office will be in touch with updates just as soon as we are able.
We were just a few weeks away from the start of rehearsals when Chicago’s theaters closed. Our phenomenal ensemble of actors is eager to reunite, and the set and costumes are standing at the ready. When our operations on Navy Pier can resume, we’ll pick up right where we left off. Thank you, in advance, for your patience.
Royal Shakespeare Company’s The Taming of the Shrew
Due to international travel restrictions, we regret that the RSC’s tour has now by necessity abruptly ended. While we are very disappointed that we won’t be able to share their extraordinary production this season, given the very real need at present, we ask that you consider donating the value of your tickets back to Chicago Shakespeare. Your generosity will help keep our essential work for you, and our community at large, moving forward.
Already, our costume shop team has mobilized colleagues across the city, in collaboration with university hospitals, to fabricate thousands of life-saving protective masks. We are providing tens of thousands of teachers and students across Illinois unprecedented digital access to a Chicago Shakespeare production. We hope that this, along with our innovative learning resources, will help ease the burden of living rooms becoming classrooms.
