July 18, 2013

August 17, 2014

in CST's Courtyard Theater

by William Shakespeare
adapted and directed by Kirsten Kelly

The Play

2014 marks the ninth annual production of CPS Shakespeare! with twenty-six students, nine teachers, and ten CPS high schools participating in this year’s ensemble. After well over one hundred hours of rehearsal with New York guest director Kirsten Kelly and Chicago-acclaimed movement and voice director Matt Hawkins, alongside members of CST’s Education team, and with assistant director and CPS English teacher Sandra Shimon, our CPS Shakespeare! A Midsummer Night’s Dream ensemble will stage its unique and personal vision of Shakespeare’s story. Each performance is immediately followed by talkbacks with the cast.
