John Winchester trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. Theater credits include Moby Dick: Inside the Belly of the Beast and Scrooge on the Farm (Darkstuff). His credits during training include: Love’s Labours Lost, Teechers, David Copperfield, Talking to Terrorists, The Tempest, Arcadia, As You Like It, Catch 22, French without Tears, The Nativity, The Rover, Women Beware Women and The Wild Duck (Bristol Old Vic Theatre School).
