Chicago is proud to be the home of Georges Seurat's most famous painting, A Sunday on La Grande Jatte—1884. Beginning September 26, Chicago Shakespeare Theater will bring to life the Tony Award®-winning musical inspired by that Impressionist masterpiece—staged by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin, called "perhaps the premier interpreter of Stephen Sondheim" by Chicago Public Radio. Now, he returns to the musical he first directed in the theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare ten years ago, but with a fresh perspective.
