40,000 students annually experience world-class performances of Shakespeare at CST and on tour throughout the Midwest.

A citywide ensemble of 35 Chicago Public School students and their teachers are empowered as learners, artists and leaders by bringing Shakespeare to life on the Courtyard Theater stage.

Each year CST helps more than 1,000 educators enrich their classroom practice through live performances, study guides and professional development workshops proven to support student literacy.

During the 2011/12 school year, CST is in residency at Benito Juarez Community Academy in Pilsen, infusing theater arts in the curriculum and community to support the Academy’s transformation into a model public school.
