Jeffrey Baumgartner (Vincentio) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where he appeared in The Three Musketeers, Short Shakespeare! Macbeth and King John. Other Chicago credits: King Lear, Oedipus Complex (Goodman Theatre); The Bowery Boys (Marriott Theatre); Man of la Mancha (Court Theatre); A Blameless Life and Cherry Orchard (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); and the titular roles in Billy Bishop Goes to War, Barrymore's Ghost, Vincent, Macbeth and Hamlet. Jeffrey is the founder of Cap-a-pe Productions and served as artistic director for Borealis Theatre Company and Fox Valley Shakespeare Festival for fifteen seasons. Also a painter, Jeffrey founded JB ArtWorks in Chicago's Wicker Park, and received his MFA from National Theatre Conservatory. Jeffrey attended Bishop Luers High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where he started to act in school plays. But it wasn't until graduate school that he really liked Shakespeare, when "I was introduced finally to how the language worked."
