Diogène Ntarindwa (Cast) was born in Bujumbura, Burundi. He studied in Belgium and at the National University of Rwanda in Butare. His early work includes Rwanda, écrire par devoir de mémoire for Fest Africa Rwanda, which also toured in Germany, France and to the Limoges Festival. Diogène then studied at the Liège Conservatory. His theater work includes: Rwanda 94 (Italy and Liège), Pieter De Buysser’s Du Pain pour les Ecureils and, as a playwright, Carte d’Identité, which played Liège, Rwanda, Burkino Faso, France, Djibouti, Switzerland and Canada. His book, Le Silence…Paroles addressing the themes of memory and identity was published in 2003.
