Léon Athanase Mandale (Cast) studied literature and French at the National University of Rwanda. He trained at University Centre of Art and Drama in Butare, Rwanda. He sang in Salus Populi, his university band. His theater experience includes Koulsy Lamko’s Ndokela and The Investigation performed in Rwanda, the 2005 and 2006 Inter-University Festivals, the Liège Festival, Theatre Bouffes du Nord (Paris), the Culture Center of Ans (Belgium), the Young Vic Theatre (London) and Yokohama (Japan).
