Mozart’s life is well documented in letters that have been preserved, correspondence that shows him to have been a dutiful son, a loving husband, and a hard-working musician. The letters are full of the intimate details of his daily life, and they chronicle his travels, his personal and professional relationships, and his development as an artist. Many are full of playful banter and teasing, joke, puns and rhymes. Some are at times crude, irreverent and joyful.
