Steve Pickering (Friar Laurence) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where he appeared in Richard II, Julius Caesar and as Iago in Othello (1995). Other Chicago credits: 29 productions at Goodman Theatre (including King Lear with Stacy Keach), Next Theatre, Victory Gardens and A Red Orchid Theatre. Regional credits include: Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, The Clarence Brown Theatre (Knoxville), The Old Globe (San Diego), Arena Stage (Washington, D.C.) and the New York Shakespeare Festival in Central Park. He has appeared on Broadway, Off Broadway and in London’s West End, including in Robert Falls’ Tony Award-winning production of Death of a Salesman with Brian Dennehy (Goodman Theatre, Broadway, National Tour, Showtime, London). He has also worked as a director, designer and adaptor, and is a founder of Shanghai Low Theatricals, a Chicago-based adaptation development company. |
