Melissa Carlson (Titania/Hippolyta) makes her Chicago Shakespeare debut. Chicago credits include: Much Ado About Nothing, Antigone (First Folio Theatre); Berlin ’45, Pyretown, The Action Against Sol Schumann (Victory Gardens Theater); How I Learned to Drive (Illinois Theatre Center); Dylan (Seanachai Theatre Company); Edward II (Red Hen Productions); Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare on the Green); and work with Court Theatre, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Famous Door Theatre Company, Lifeline Theatre, Raven Theater, Collaboraction, Shakespeare’s Motley Crew, Trap Door Theatre and The Shakespeare Project of Chicago. A graduate of Highland Park High School and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Melissa loves that “Shakespeare is timeless. It transcends race, gender and culture.”
