Kareem Bandealy (Egeus/Quince) returns to Chicago Shakespeare, where his credits include Edward II and Short Shakespeare! Romeo and Juliet. Other Chicago credits include: Gas for Less, King Lear (Goodman Theatre); The Real Thing (Remy Bumppo Theatre Company); Wedding Play (About Face Theatre); Oklahoma! (American Theater Company). Regional credits include: Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, The Winter’s Tale (Orlando Shakespeare Theater); Julius Caesar and Stuff Happens (Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre). He is an associate artist and company member of Silk Road Theatre Project and ensemble member of American Theater Company. When he first saw Shakespeare in 10th grade, he thought “This guy’s just stating the obvious. What I know now is that stating the obvious is the charge of any poet. It’s just that we get confused, because suddenly, the mundane sounds divine.”
