Matthew Heffernan (Duke of York) makes his Chicago Shakespeare Theater debut. Chicago credits include the 2005, 2006 and 2008 productions of A Christmas Carol as Peter Cratchit, young Scrooge, street musician, child in the doorway and Turkey Boy, and as understudy for the role of young Irvin Berlin in the Tommy Tune directed musical, Turn of the Century (Goodman Theatre). Mr. Heffernan has studied classical violin for nine years and is a member of the Chicago Youth Symphony String Ensemble, the 2008 Interlochen Junior Orchestra and the St. Ignatius Orchestra. Film/TV credits include: a featured role in the film Let's Go to Prison with Will Arnett, directed by Bob Odenkirk; roles in an MTV video produces by MotivFilms; and a MasterCard commercial with Payton Manning.
