The story of Aladdin is from a collection of folktales from Persia, called One Thousand and One Arabian Nights. Some of the other stories may be familiar to you as well, like the tale of “Sinbad the Sailor,” or “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.” Folktales teach us lessons—and have for a very long time.
