"This new production offers more bang for the buck... with a live band, Broadway-caliber actors and a set that adds classy Arabian touches to the usual pastiche. Bill Larkin's Genie and Larry Yando's lip-smacking villain are fun. And unlike other versions of this show I've seen, this production has an actual flying carpet that descends from above and takes Aladdin and Princess Jasmine on a cool voyage.
It's worth noting that with Chicago Shakespeare's 40 percent parking discount at Navy Pier, you could add this show to a family day without spending much additional money."
