In Aladdin, things and people aren’t always what they appear to be. Aladdin is called a “street rat,” but there are people, like Jasmine, who see past Aladdin’s dirty clothing and recognize that he is worthy of being a prince. Sometimes real value, just like treasure, is hidden.

Find a shoebox or any small box to create your very own treasure chest. Decorate your box with colored markers, crayons, sequins, fabric scraps, magazine pictures—whatever would make it beautiful and special.
