John Hoogennaker (Roderigo) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater where his credits include: Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Antony and Cleopatra, and The Bomb-itty of Errors (Royal George Theatre and CST). Other Chicago credits include: Passion Play (Goodman Theatre); The Puppetmaster of Lodz (Writers’ Theatre); 100 Saints You Should Know (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); The Retreat from Moscow (Northlight Theatre); Stones in His Pockets (Apple Tree Theatre) and Killer Joe (The Theatre at 2851 Halsted). Regional credits include: Translations, Escape From Happiness (Milwaukee Repertory Theater); the title role in Hamlet (Illinois Shakespeare Festival); and Work Song: Three Views of Frank Lloyd Wright (Arizona Theatre Company and Missouri Repertory Theatre). Television and Film credits include: The Beast (A&E); ER (NBC); Flags of our Fathers (Warner Brothers); The Lucky Ones (Lionsgate). John’s voice-over credits include several video games as well as commercial campaigns for Comcast, Onstar, McDonald’s and Allstate.
