Greg Vinkler (Gratiano) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include: Ulysses in Troilus and Cressida, Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers, Sir John Falstaff in Henry IV Parts 1 and 2 (at CST and on tour to the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon), Duke Vincentio in Measure for Measure, the title role in King John, Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Ergaste in The Molière Comedies, Stephano in The Tempest (After Dark Season Award), the title role in King Lear (Jeff Award), Jaques in As You Like It (After Dark Season Award), Malvolio in Twelfth Night (Jeff Award), Polonius in Hamlet (Jeff Award), and Angelo in Measure for Measure (Artisan Award). Other Chicago credits include: Oliver! (The Marriott Theatre); The Uneasy Chair (Writers’ Theatre); One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Steppenwolf Theatre); Dirty Blonde (Apple Tree Theatre); The Beard of Avon (Goodman Theatre); 84, Charing Cross Road (Northlight Theatre); Jest a Second (Victory Gardens Theater); The Woman in Black (Blood Curdling Productions); and St. Nicholas (After Dark Season Award, Gee Kay Productions, Inc.). He has been nominated for 12 Joseph Jefferson awards, and is the Artistic Director of the Peninsula Players Theatre in Door County, Wisconsin. Greg recently received the first Door County Artist of the Year Award.
